Speaker Portfolio
This year's conference features more speakers, more classes, more knowledge and more chocolate (hopefully) than ever before, so I am delighted to introduce to you a roster of speakers more than 40 strong.
With speakers from every Australian state, and from 6 countries, the depth of knowledge and breadth of experience of this year's roster of speakers is staggering. Multiple viewpoints, multiple methodologies, all leading to one cohesive result: "Be in BIM!" ...and RTC is the first and best place to do exactly that.

Stewart Caldwell |
| Russell and Yelland architects |
| |
Stewart is currently an associate at Russell and Yelland architects in Adelaide. He graduated from the University of Adelaide on 1999 and has been at R&Y for about 9 years. Unlike most CAD users he was initially very hesitant when using 2D CAD systems but found his calling when picking up REVIT about 6 years ago. Stewart has been the CAD manager of sorts at R&Y for about 5 years and is responsible for CAD systems development and training for office staff. When he’s not busy performing his architectural duties he spends his time experimenting with the nuances of REVIT, the integration of other software into REVIT (SketchUP primarily) as well as developing best practice procedures for using REVIT in an architectural office. Stewart is also a member of the recently reformed RUGSA group. |
 |
|
Glenn Cunnington |
| Humphrey and Edwards |
| |
Since graduating in Architecture, sometime in the last century, Glenn has held senior positions with Chetwood Associates (UK), Peddle Thorp (North Queensland) and Seidler Associates in Sydney before dabbling with his own practice… He has since taken residence as Associate Director at Humphrey & Edwards in Sydney where he has now served 4 years of an indefinite sentence.
Humphrey & Edwards, like most of us, specialise in tricky projects for difficult clients. In that past few years Glenn has put a lot of effort into commercial and residential design, at all scales, and far too much time in pubs with no beer.
In the course of his career Glenn has had a good crack at most CAD platforms. He has had the hammer out in Revit now for over five years and still looks forward to paying the annual subscription.
But what really gets him out of bed in the morning? Well it’s the nagging urge to convince himself that there really is a “better way”!
He’s lost a lot of sleep over the years in the pursuit of “better ways”, continues to lose a lot of sleep in the pursuit of “better ways” and loves to talk about “better ways”. Unfortunately, for all the sleepless nights, he’s managed only to come up with more questions than answers. But, tirelessly, his quest continues.
On a side note, he also has a lingering passion for fishing… Simply because he firmly believes that it is good for the soul to dabble in a past-time that’s even less successful than his practice! |
