Revit Showcase Submissions

THIS IS YOUR OPPORTUNITY TO SHOW OFF YOUR REVIT TECHNIQUE!

Attendees of the 2009 Revit conference are invited to submit images from Revit and related applications for a short Revit showcase after the keynote address.

The intention is to demonstrate the capabilities of Revit, and the power of BIM to provide rich data for analysis, simulation, and visualisation. We are keen to include images that demonstrate innovation, lateral thinking, best-practice, advanced technique, and enhanced services. This is an opportunity for promotion of your companies’ activities and the quality of your work. Images that are not entered into the competitions may include company logos and identification. Please also include a short description of the image and details of the technique that it illustrates, for possible narration. Please note: We cannot guarantee that all images will be included in the Revit Showcase.

Showcase images may also be entered in the competitions provided that no company logos or identification is included with the image.  Competition entries are restricted to images solely produced in Revit.

Please email your Revit Showcase Submissions to heidi@hellocp.com.au by Friday 12 June, with Revit Showcase clearly marked in the Subject field.

Competition Submission

Following on from the very successful competitions held in previous years this year’s competition has two major prizes, for presentation and for documentation work. A large thank you to our sponsor, Lenovo, for making this possible.

  • Presentation:
    Prize: Hardware Supplied by Lenovo
In the presentation section we are looking for examples of work demonstrating the best of presentation techniques in Revit. Note that this does NOT necessarily mean rendering! Layout, proportions, and most importantly, the successful conveying of your message are all vital to a quality presentation. Work can be a single image or a page layout; rendered, shaded, or other format images; or anything else that centres around presenting your work to others.

  • Documentation:
    Prize: Hardware Supplied by Lenovo
This section is intended to showcase 2D documentation / annotation work carried out within Revit. As the penetration of Revit into the marketplace increases, and we see more projects in construction or completed, the importance of the 2D tools in Revit are growing rapidly. Here is your chance to demonstrate your mastery of these tools, and win a fabulous prize.

The competition will be judged by your fellow delegates and awarded on the basis of the 'best' Revit work. Remember: ALL WORK MUST BE PRODUCED ENTIRELY IN REVIT!

Please provide your entry as a maximum of 2 x A3 sheets, preferably portrait orientation, with any information that identifies you or your company either blanked out or removed (we will not accept entries with identifying information on them). Your entry will be given a number, and this will be used on the judging forms distributed to all the delegates for voting. Entries can be submitted prior to the start of the conference, but must be received no later than registration on Thursday morning. Please do not vote for your own work, or work from your company! Please also provide an electronic copy (in jpeg format) of the submission so that we may include it in the slideshow that will be running on an ongoing basis in the breakout room.

Please email your jpeg file to heidi@hellocp.com.au  by Friday 12 June and also bring a hard copy (maximum of 2 x A3 sheets, preferably portrait orientation) to the Conference.
