More than six months have passed since the very successful 2008 Revit Technology Conference was held at Brighton Beach. Now we look forward to the 2009 Conference, to be held for the first time in Melbourne.

The 2009 conference introduces Principals’ Day, a day long stream of BIM information and discussion aimed at owners and managers of consultancy practices. The day will focus on the business aspects of Revit: harnessing the power of Revit to produce a superior product at a lower cost, the legal aspects of BIM, implementation strategies, BIM standards, professional trends, and exciting new modes of facilities procurement including Integrated Project Delivery. Cut through the jargon and the hard-sell, and find out what the world of BIM is really about.

Hands on labs will provide a deeper understanding of some more complex parts of Revit. Hurry, space is limited

RTC 2008

2008 Conference

Attended by more than 160 delegates, the 2008 conference attracted attendees from as far away as the Netherlands, Japan and the Philippines, Australia’s mainland states, and a strong contingent from New Zealand.

What the Attendees Thought

"Congratulations on a terrific conference. I was very impressed with every aspect"

Steve Arnold, NDY"

... thought I'd drop you a line to offer my thanks to you and the committee for a great conference - the overall feedback I got from the Arupians was that the 'engineering' classes were well organised in a different league to those of previous conferences -  they all learned lots. I hope they can now put it into practice ;-)"

John Hainsworth, ARUP

"I just thought that I’d drop you a line to congratulate you on last week’s conference. It was very well run and was an excellent chance to meet, greet and discuss all things Revit with peer groups.  If there was one thing I took from the 3 days, it was increased confidence in being able to push through with Revit (and BIM) in the coming months.

Being a relative newbie to Revit, I was able to learn a fair amount over the three days, although I would imagine that as these events develop, there will be a greater variety in ability in the attendees which could be a problem for you in catering from the absolute beginner to the relative expert. But that’s for next year…

I look forward to accessing the electronic version of all the material that we went through (I assume from the RUGS web site?) and again, well done on an excellent event."

Ian Matthews, Sinclair Knight Merz

"just a quick note to thank you & the rest of the organisers for the RTC conference- it was well organised and very beneficial.
Between the 3 attendees from Westfield, I think we managed to cover nearly every session."

Andrew Hannell, Westfield

"I thought RTC 2008 was an outstanding event, and you are to be congratulated for your part in pulling it all together. People seemed quite energized and informed by both the class sessions and the informal social times, and the organization from my perspective was flawless.
A strong "well done" to you and your crew!"

Chris Fox, ARCHimage CAD Services

Best conference I have ever been too, very well organised. Great people & very friendly

It has been an inspirational time to socialise with other Revit “nuts”, it means I’m not the only one.

Overall an excellent conference, I will go home reenergised and more confident that the industry is heading down the BIM and Revit path

Well paced, wasn’t an information overload & I picked up some good tips/tricks, best practice ideas
