  Wesley Benn
Benn Design
RTC Chairman

Wesley is the founder and convener of the Revit Technology Conference series. As a long-term user and advocate of Revit, Wesley has been speaking and teaching in the field since starting to play with the software at version 0.2

Benn Design is a full service architectural firm, with projects ranging from houses to retail, aged care and commercial development projects. The firm also has a very active drafting and outsourcing group working on numerous retail, commercial, project home, resort, and education projects.

Wesley is also a director of AEC Consulting Services Pty Ltd. An outshoot of the working relationship between Benn Design and AEC Systems, this consulting organisation provides training and support, implementation and mentoring, custom programming and content creation to clients throughout south-east Asia. He also works directly with Autodesk on Revit development and implementation. Lately, the localisation and distribution of Archetype, practice and project management software for design offices, has been added into the mix to reflect in management the ideas of leverage and integration that Revit has reinforced in design.

Wesley is a regular speaker at events throughout Australia and overseas talking about technology, Integrated practice, and facilities management, founded (and chaired for 5 years) the Revit User Group, Sydney, is an occasional speaker and design jury member at UNSW, and is still hanging onto his wife and 2.5 children...






  Clay Hickling
GHD
 

Clay Hickling has been working with GHD for the past 11 years as a architectural and civil designer/documentor. GHD, being a multidiscipline Architecture and Engineering firm adopted Revit some 4-5 years ago. Clay is currently working with an internal development team coordinating the implementation of all the Revit flavours thru the various parts of the GHD business, his focus being Architecture. This entails training, development and technical support. Recently Clay was involved in the startup of a Revit user group for the South Queensland region. With the motto of working smarter and not harder Clay enjoys sharing knowledge with others. Outside of this environment Clay spends as much time as he can on the golf course.






  Chris Needham

C3 Consulting Solutions

 

Chris Needham is the director of C3 Consulting Solutions, a consulting firm specialising in BIM systems development and implementation.

He is committed to both strategic and technical best practice, and enjoys creative problem solving.

He has worked on projects in both Australia and the United Kingdom, using his CAD Management expertise to develop custom systems for numerous offices. Over the last four years, he has helped firms migrate to Revit, and is passionate about exploiting BIM technology to its limit and sharing his findings with others.

He has trained industry professionals across Australia, and taught Revit and AutoCAD at RMIT. He is a graduate member of the RAIA and Chairperson of the Victorian Revit User Group: REVIC.






  Rodd Perey
Architectus
 

Rodd Perey is Design Technology Director at Architectus and has implemented Revit and the change to a BIM culture over the last 6 years. He combines his technology role with running a number of large projects, predominantly hotels, which allows him to identify the technological requirements and develop optimised technique, while his knowledge of the potential of BIM is put to good use on his projects.

Recently Rodd has developed systems to test and develop sustainable design options for some of Architectus major projects, and is a featured Green Leader on Autodesk’s Sustainability Centre Site. He has spoken on BIM, ESD and Revit in Australia and internationally. Architectus are past recipients of Autodesk’s Revit BIM Experience Award.






  Marina Radosevic
Benn Design
 

Marina has been a committee member since inception. Was conference coordinator for the first two in 2005 and 2006.

Has worked as a design draughtsman for some 20yrs, for the most part in the residential market. Since joining Benn Design has also worked on a large number of retail projects. And now runs the drafting and outsourcing group. Has always had a large involvement in the creation of content for both Benn Design and others.

All is easy once you are shown how, the sharing of knowledge is priceless.






  Simon Whitbread
Beca
 

Originally from London, Simon and his family relocated to Auckland in 2002. Simon has over 25 years experience in Building Services and Architectural industries. Since the early 1990's he has been involved in developing and managing CAD and IT Systems for a variety of companies with his spare time split between home life and his passion for education, teaching a variety of CAD systems to tertiary students at all levels of age and experience.

After a five year term with JASMAX, one of New Zealand’s leading architectural practices, where he lead the implementation of Revit Architecture, he spent time with an Autodesk reseller, training and supporting Revit Architecture and Revit MEP. Using Revit since r5.1, he is now a Revit Specialist for Beca, a multinational, multi-service company where he provides implementation, training and support.
